Haven’s coastal holiday sites have made changes to be covid-19 compliant so everyone can enjoy a nature-based holiday this year.
Dotted along the coastline of England, Scotland and Wales are the award-winning Haven holiday parks. Attracting families, couples and groups who love to be active, they ensured none of their sites are far away from the sea, sandy beaches, open spaces, spectacular landscapes and nature.
New for 2020, the company has introduced Haven Hideaways to comply with coronavirus rules issued by the UK government whilst still allowing for plenty of holiday fun. Whilst on site activities, pools, play areas, restaurants and entertainment facilities are expected to remain closed to guests throughout 2020, the supermarket, launderette and take away options will be available. The natural beauty that surrounds each of their parks will be there to explore from woodland walks to coastal cliffs. Local birds and rock pool creatures are still there to be discovered. Self-contained, self-catering accommodation is included in the Haven Hideaway options.
To allow guests to book with confidence, all reservations made for this and next year will be automatically covered with Haven’s ‘Coronavirus Book with Confidence Guarantee’. This means that if any plans are disrupted due to the pandemic there is the option to cancel the holiday and either receive credit towards another 2020/21 holiday or a full refund. This can be done via their website.
Each Haven site will have a revised and staggered check-in process to allow for social distancing. On-site capacity has been updated to protect the guests and on-site teams. Cleaning regimes have also been revised across the parks, resulting in a safe environment for guests within their accommodation and across all on-site amenities. Prices for the season have been adjusted accordingly to reflect the visitor experience.
The Haven Hideaway initiative has been created to provide holiday makers with a safe way to escape to the coast and enjoy a break away as government restrictions are lifted.
Due to reopen on 2nd July 2020, Devon, Cornwall, Yorkshire, Northumberland, Dorset, Essex, Lake District, Kent, Sussex, Lincolnshire, Somerset, Norfolk, Blackpool, Scotland, North Wales and South Wales are all home to Haven Holiday parks.
Promoting an interest in nature and the natural environment, Haven provides guests with green, open spaces full of grassy areas, trees and wildlife. As a member of The Wildlife Trust they have worked towards protecting and conserving Britain’s wildlife, employ on site park rangers, have introduced reduce, reuse, recycling initiatives across all parks and offices and have previously reduced both their carbon footprint and water usage.
